PRO 2096 SOFTWARE

Greeting All,
Just purchased a PRO 2096 Digital Police scanner from a estate sale,
and was trying to remember how to figure of how to find out
how to have the version displayed as it is turned on is.. Any suggestions.

The firmware version should be displayed briefly right before the welcome screen as soon as the unit is powered on (I verified this with my Pro 2096). I'm not sure if this is an enablable/disablable setting...

Just purchased a PRO 2096 Digital Police scanner from a estate sale,

Be advised that the Pro-2096 cannot trunk track 700 MHz frequencies and supports P25 Phase 1 only. Like the Pro-197 and Pro-652, it cannot decode P25 Phase 2, DMR, or NXDN. I do not have a Pro-96 or Pro-2096 but have programmed both using ARC96 software.

Thank you "laidback" This is very interesting,
I have noticed the difference displays on my PRO 96 and the PRO 2096
Can anyone expand of there knowledge of exact what is displayed,
and how it effects the radio operations
NOTE: Is this all explained in the "Owners manual" link supplied by "Laidback"

Only the DSP-APP can be upgraded, not the CPU or the DSP-VOC which were done at manufacture. I have DSP-APP V1.2 in mine and feel it is the best. There were Glitches with 1.3 and 1.4.
