We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

OK, Just paid 30 bucks to get my RR database access updated. Now I can't figure out how in the world to assign a talk group to a tsys using win500. Dont answer cut and paste...that's not the right answer....

I download from the RR database selecting some sites and then some talk groups. I load that to my scanner. Now I decide I want to add some talk groups. I download JUST those talk groups into the win500

Now the scanner win500 software says that i have unassigned talkgroups.

How do I link those 4 talk groups to the TSYS that I already have downloaded?
What is the method to link talk groups to a TSYS.

I can see that the talk groups are "unassigned" by clicking the Win500 software "show unassigned" box on the TSYS objects page and it shows there are 4 unassigned talk groups.

Somehow there is something I am missing in the software to "hook up" those 4 talk groups to the TSYS....

Is my question clear?

Except that is the right answer.

1) Select all the unassigned talkgroups (Ctrl + A, Edit > Select All, etc).
2) Cut (Ctrl + X, Edit > Cut, etc).
3) Click on the TSYS you want.
4) Click within the TGRP section of the TSYS (eg. 'ID').
5) Paste (Ctrl + V, Edit > Paste, etc).
