hello my question is when i put the scanner in the signal stalker mode, it can be any band ,when it shoes the frequencys thats all it does i never hear anything, whats up with this, is this what it does just show the frequency, this is lame if thats how it works, id like to hear them as well please help thanks

You need to be extremely close to the transmitter in order to hear anything. And by close I mean within 1/4 mile. It will just stop on alot of freqs because that freq might have static that the receiver "accidently" picks up. That is the logic behind the Signal Stalker feature, if you hear anything, you know it's close.

Make sure the squelch is all the way open. I hit stuff with Signal Stalker on my PRO-84 all the time, but like Colin said you have to be close to the transmitter. I've had most of my luck in VHF-Hi near warehouses, at drive thrus, and driving up on accidents.
