Has anyone got the Radio Shack PRO 96 to work on the Nebraska N-WIN system?

If so what did you do to get it to work? I have the ARC500 software and think I have it programed right, but, my PSR600 is working right along and the 96 is not even stoping. I have a decode rate of 92 on the 96 and if I step manualy to to the voice channel I can hear traffic, but it will not stop on it's own.

Thanks in advance. Ron

PS I am begining to think that this radio will not work on this system!

After I posted this I realized that ARC500 is the wrong software, I am using Win96.

PRO 96 will track N-WIN, you will need a band plan. Unlike the PSR 600, it pulls the data off the control channel and uses it to track N-WIN.

Here is the band plan for the PRO 96 that was posted here a while back.

0 4095 0.0000 851.0062 6.2500
4096 8191 4096 762.0062 6.2500
0 0.0000 0.0000 0.0000 12.5000
0 0.0000 0.0000 0.0000 15.0000
16384 20479 16384 150.5750 2.5000
20480 24575 20480 149.0000 2.5000

Thanks, I've been trying to use the base, offset and step information, I found out that the 96 will not enter the "base" frequency correctly (rounds up). Thought that that might have been the problem.

Was that band plan for Win96 or was it for ARC96. I went into the exteneded tables in Win96 and the format does not match the information given. Am I missing something yet?

NWin Pro-96

Did you try the custom settings from the RR Database?
Base Spacing Offset
153.6375 12.5 380

I am not close enough to hear a tower.

Mike, Yes I did, and the Win 96 software rounds the 153.6375 frequency down to 153.650. I have not been able to get the ARC96 software to download from RR for some reason.
