Pro-96 Incorrect Model Message

I have been reprogramming my PRO-96 over the last few days with WIN96. Twice when I clicked on the Upload to Scanner icon the words INCORRECT MODEL appear. I was able to program it in between the 2 times and now while I write this it is working again. Any ideas as to what is happening?

Have had the same problem. most likley a dirty connection on the radio. When it happens, I have inserted and removed the plug multiple times and the it starts working. This has happened with the USB cable and the Serial cable.

Thank you. I did that a few times not realizing it could have been a bad connection.
