Pro-96 Problems

My pro-96 has a speaker problem. The sound gets loud all of a sudden even when the volume is completely down. It makes a pop sound and the audio gets really loud and scratchy. What should I do?

If it's under warranty send it in, if not it's probably the volume pot and needs replaced

I had to have my volume control/on-off switch replaced earlier this year. There was no quiet setting. Finally no audio at all.

Also check and see if speaker wire is loose.

Try pressing your finger against the speaker. Mine makes a squawky/screeching sound and I read on the Yahoo site to try this method to see if it eliminates the problem.
