Pro 97 antenna help

Sooo this is a continuation of my question in the radio shack forum. I learned that my Pro 84 can pick things up that my Pro97 cant even if they are sitting next to each other. What can I do to at the very least make them pick up the same frequencies...especially since i have trunking frequencies in i wanna hear? FYI I.E. my 84 will pick up DuComm's Fire East and my 97 will not. I am listening from DuPage county

If they're in the 800MHz band try the Radio Shack 800MHz duckie.
