Hi . New to the digital scanning world, however been listening to scanners for over 20 years.I just got a BCD 396T and have been able to get the Phila Fire and Police to work , but I can not get Burlington County to work. I have put in most of the control frequencies and talk groups that I am interested in, but can not get any audio. What am I doing wrong?

Well, I can only take a couple of guesses based on the system:
1) You programmed it as P25 (should be Mot UHF).
or
2) If you programmed it as Mot UHF, you didn't program the custom band plan tables.
Base Spacing Offset
500.3250 12.5 380
502.4250 12.5 530
506.4750 12.5 559
or
3) If you programmed it as Mot UHF with the band plan tables, you didn't program a site that was within receive range.

(Since you don't mention software in your question, this should probably have been posted in the Uniden forum...which is why it has taken so long for any replies; I just happened to catch sight of it over here in this odd group.)

I was able to correct the problem by using free scan and subscribing as a premium member. Now just have to sort out all of the talk groups.

I am curious, from a background experience point of view, what was the problem to begin with? Did Paul (UPMan) hit on any of the solutions in his post?

I think the problem was that I wasn't programming all of the frequencies and wasn't in range. Have a better antenna now and get it all.

Okay, thanks.

We try and keep up with problems new folks have, so that we can better address them in replies and on the site.
