OK, I know I've aged since I programed my 996xt but I just picked up a used 996t and cannot for the life of me remember how to specify, in the Database, which freq's I want to download and program. The list that shows for Ventura county, CA has a lot of stuff I don't want or need to listen to. I would like to set up separate "banks" (I know) so I can easily skip the agencies that I don't listen to on a regular basis. Additionally, once I download the Database, how do I upload it to the receiver? I am using "FreeScan"Any help would put me in your debt. Thank you!

I suspect you want the skip tags function in the RR download screen.

In addition the upload process is described below...

File:Skip tags conventional.JPG - The RadioReference Wiki

Freescan Upload - The RadioReference Wiki

As an aside you can access the user guide via 'HELP/ONLINE HELP' or via the direct wiki link;

FreeScan User Guide - The RadioReference Wiki

Another way you can go here is to download the contents of your 996XT then upload to the 996T, as long as you respect the limits in the number of systems, groups, etc. in the 996T.
