I've asked on the Uniden page and got no real response.

Any of you ever program a BC898T to trunk scan?

Yes, it works just fine. In fact I would say unless you need digital, the 898 is the best receiver out there. It does narrowband with the right steps (6.25 and 7.5 khz). It will also support rebanding. It is by far a better receiver (much more selective) than the 996 or the 2096. I have them all.

Well on paper it looked like a good little scanner and that is why I picked it. Mostly I got it to do a discriminator tap on and use Trunker, which has been great.

I am really getting my tail kicked trying to get it to trunk scan. Make a long story a little shorter here is my origional post in Uniden Forum.

Basically I just don't get it.
