Programming a P25 Phase 2 Network

We have a new P25 phase 2 network going in here. It is in the testing phase so little use so far.
What is the correct way to program these on a325P2?

I have extensive experience on setting up our EDACS network on various scanners. With a P25phase 2 network, do I just need to program the control channel for the site?

No different from a Phase I system. Control channel only.

my county is mostly on phase 1 but the schools are on phase 2 and they come in fine.
i have to look to see the indication on the screen that it is not P25.

Phase II is still P25.

So no need to work out the LCNs, like with an EDACS system?

Uniden scanners only require control channels and talkgroups for Project 25 systems. DMR requires LCNs.
P25 is pretty straightforward as far as programming these radios, much more complex when you are working with commercial radios.

In addition, if it's a new system your programming, you would want to set it to id search.

My guess is the new system isn’t listed on RR as yet… if it were, you could always let the automatic download feature do your programming where you wouldn’t need to set the ID Search…

It is a brand new system and as I am in Australia, we don't normally post much to the RR DB. Once I get some details on the system, I will do up a page on my blog
