I have a few users locally which have moved to DMR (I suspect). If I buy the DMR key, how easy are they to program in to my 325P2? Do I need colour codes or can I just program the frequencies and it will detect what it needs?

I don't want to but the DMR key and then find they are not easy to add in.

It's pretty easy to add Dmr keys from what I have seen.

If you suspect dmr, but you are not positive that's what they went to, enter the freqs conventionally and you should hear the undecoded digital sounds on your scanner. Below is what dmr and nxdn sound like.

Here's a cheat sheet I found online. Note that the 325P2 does not have a LCN finder.

During a search, when the scanner stops on a DMR transmission, the following information will be displayed:

DMR -- for DMR One-Frequency systems. The scanner will also display the current slot number (S1 or S2) and the received color code.
CON -- for MotoTRBO Connect Plus systems. The scanner will also display the current slot number (S1 or S2) and the received color code.
CAP -- for MotoTRBO Capacity Plus systems. The scanner will also display the current slot number (S1 or S2), and the received color code.
DT3 -- for DMR Tier III Trunked system. The scanner will also display the current slot number (S1 or S2) and the received color code.

While the radio will display the flavor of digital it see's, I am pretty sure it will not display any of that info unless the proper upgrades are installed. I have no upgrades in my Sds200 and it does not display anything when it lands on a digital format that is not installed on the scanner.

Correct. Upgrades need to be installed otherwise you'll hear data emissions (motorboating) and see no data on screen aside from frequency
