Programming error! bcd396

At the end of the firmware update bcd396t-v3-00-00 I am getting a "programming error!" check the following- connect scanner to pc & keep power connected which they are. Started over from scratch several times but no help so now I need help!

are your com port & baud rate matching whats in your software?
Your software maybe looking for COM1 but your scanner is on COM2

If your using ARC to program you can use the settings to find out what your using.
