Programming Question - Switchable Personality?

I'm trying to progrom an Orion radio, and after reading it, adding some new conventional channels, and attempting to write back I get:

"Error. This is a switchable personality and cannot be programming into this radio."



Can anyone tell me what this means, and how to get around it? The only change I made was adding additional channels to the read personality. I thought it may have been limited to 16 conventional channels per set, so I also tried to make a second "set" and add the new channels to it. Same result.

I found that to resolve this issue i had to make sure all my channels were set to wide band and not narrow. Hope this helps 73.

What he said ^^

Just means the radio isn't radio capable and/or enabled and won't let you program narrow channels in. Set them all to wide or use a switchable radio
