This is my first post...
I am having a hard time programming my Pro94. I have it programmed to hear police, fire and city talk groups but i am now trying to get Hydro companies and also ambulance. I have the link for the Bell Fleetnet - Ontario Provincial Government Zone 1 System
http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=TRSDB&sid=861
But i have no idea how to program the scanner for this. I will even pay to get someone to help me with this.
I have looked around and i think that this Pro94 is the hardest scanner that there is to program. Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Thanks,

Hydro is in the kelcom system in windsor: http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=TRSDB&sid=3219

Been adding them there. Not sure if I put them all there though. There's about 7 for enwin powerlines, and 2 for enwin water. That's a LTR system so don't think your scanner can get LTR trunk systems.

Other than that not sure how to program that model since I've never had a radio shack one. Wishing you luck though.

Hi Bosun9 Welcome to RR.

Don't give up yet !

Turn on your radio and press PGM , then press TRUNK . The word trunk should be flashing
along with all the bank numbers. Select the bank you want to use by pressing that number.
Use the up or down arrow to find the system type you want to monitor.
Keep pushing until you see E2 -Hi , press E
Next you have to set the Base and Offset . Change the default from 137.000 to 141.015 by pushing the ALT /Data key and push E . Change the offset by pushing
ALT / Data again and entering 15.0 from whatever the default is.
Next you can enter the frequencies from the Fleetnet site and push Search and see if you are
succcesssful.
Good Luck , hope I have helped. :)

Fantastic...

Thanks for your information...
This worked out pretty good untill i got to
"Next you can enter the frequencies from the Fleetnet site and push Search and see if you are
succcesssful"
I must have missed something... I am not sure that this point how to input the freq... I understand what ones to use... Just not sure what buttons to push to get there....
I wish that i had a computer interface to program it... I think that it would be so much easier...
Also not sure about the DEC and Hex... How do i program that?
Thanks so much for your help...

A

Checked it our already!

Thanks very much for the link! DAVEH... I have looked at this link already. I am confused about 2 things.. How to program the trunked data chanels. Also, how to specify what to scan... A better manual is needed for this scanner i think...

Again, from my earlier post... I will pay to have someone teach me how to use this thing... LOL

Thanks

I assume you mean the control channels (highlighted red and blue in the database). Program all voice and control channels for one site in one bank. The scanner will lock to the active control channel.

As for what to scan for, go into search mode (or whatever it's called) that just lock onto whatever is active at the time,to see what's there. Later, you can program talkgroups (listed in the database), but for Fleetnet, only the analog ones (marked A) such as MOH and MTO. OPP and certain others require a digital scanner which the PRO-94 isn't.
