how long does it take for radio reference to update the database for uniden? i saw updates in the rr database and it didnt upload to my scanner

Uniden refreshes the Sentinel database weekly, usually on Monday mornings.

You have to download the update into Sentinel, then Write To Scanner before the scanner will have the updates.

i did and it didnt take it.....maybe i did something wrong? all i know is i hit update database and then i hit upload to scanner... u said every week? that maybe something to it was in the last 48 hrs or so.....

if you look under nj monmouth cty and look at the 700mhz system those are the updates im trying to to get

Make sure you have the Force Write Full Database option checked when you Write To Scanner.

Update Master HPDB is the Sentinel menu command to download database updates from Uniden.

The HPDB was updated yesterday accordingly to the file dates.

Look at the bottom left corner of the sentinel window.

Need the unabbreviated county and state to answer for sure, but if you've updated the database on the scanner and have your location and other settings set correctly, it should work.

If this is the same with database is the current version, try this

1. Exit Sentinel
2. Delete the folder C:\ProgramData\Uniden\BCDx36HP_Sentinel
3. Reinstall Sentinel. Choose Repair option
4. Start Sentinel. You should get a Reconstructing Database message or something to the effect.
5. Try updating the Master HPDB again.

You don't need to uninstall Sentinel. Just go Tools - Options in the Sentinel menu, then click the Start button next to Reconstruct Full Database.
