Can anyone tell me what PFD lingo "No Bell" is for?

I frequently hear them use that term when returning to service or in station.

I believe it means they are up and awake in quarters so no ALARM BELL is neccesary over the air.

Interesting thought... Although I did discover in the last couple days that I was originally wrong, the department is not PFD but rather West Warwick, FD. Strangely, I hear it at all different times of day and night. Maybe I'll stop by one of their stations next week and ask.
