Hello, I'm trying to make a playlist of sound transit main line operations.

I currently have Talk Groups Mainline Operations1 3753 From South bound Beacon hill station to Angle lake.

Also Mainline Operations2 3755 from North bound Beacon hill station to Northgate.

However Mainline Operations3 3754, covering all Eastside king county sound transit train movements, doesn't want to show up on broadcastify. 856.013Mhz

I'm a complete newbie to all of this.

PSERN is trunking.
ANY frequencies are either control frequencies - or a voice channel....
The only 'assigned' frequencies are control - and they can sometimes change.
Also, 856.013 is NOT a PSERN freq in the FCC database...
Puget Sound Emergency Radio Network (PSERN) Trunking System, Seattle, Washington

If there is traffic on 3754, it needs to be documented, verified and then submitted to the RR database.

As a "newb", are you at all familiar with trunking and how it all works?

I would start here.

I'll read up on those wikis I really don't know anything at all. I'm getting into this because I currently operate the train, and a few of us like to stay connected through our own devices.

...... "I currently operate the train".......

OK..... direct knowledge as a system user.... good.

Those talkgroups you mention in your original post (3753 / 3754 / 3755).
What exactly is displayed on your radio when each talkgroup is active?
Especially 3754, since (see above), 3754 is currently not even listed in the database and you can help get it added.
(Remember, the Radio Reference data is a group effort).

And also make sure 3753 and 3755 are correct (again, see above), or do they need to be changed?

I don't own any equipment that can access the radio frequencies besides my phone through open megahertz and broadcastify. All of the work equipment I use has been pre-programmed for a constant display of channel 1, 2, and 3 depending on what channel you currently have selected.

Using open megahertz and broadcastify with some light web searching I was able to determine the talk group and numbers. We have been encouraged to use these online resources by our instructors.

I do have a screenshot and open megahertz that actually picks up the signal but I'm unable to place it into a playlist. I'm not sure if I'm describing any of this correctly since I barely know what I'm talking about.

Sorry I forgot to address 3753 and 3755

3753 is what we refer to as mainline operations 1 or MLOPS 1 South Control
3755 mainline operations 2 or MLOPS 2 North Control

On open megahertz 3753 refers to Mainline operations 3 MLOPS 3 East Control

I'm not sure if you want to rename them, however, this is the official reference to these channels through my line of work at King county through sound Transit

So.... 3754's "official reference" is Mainline Operations 3?
3753 is Mainline Operations1
3755
is Mainline Operations 2

Remember, on openmhz, etc, the talkgroup descriptions are probably coming from the Radio Reference database, (or were manually added) so whatever is in RR (or manually added) is what is being displayed. And remember, the RR database is 'crowd sourced' so the info there is only as good as what has been submitted.

They can be changed to reflect the "official" descriptors, if indeed they are curently wrong.

derekthejw:

Could you look into what 3760 exactly is?
It is Sound Transit train related.
I hear them talk about trains and operational stuff.

I'll get it added to RR.
