Will a premium subscription permit me to download a segment directly to my computer and then to my scanner where it will be fully functional or do I need to massage the information in some way to have it usable by scanning?

I don't find any information on the software index which indicates what I'm looking for.
I want to try and avoid having to manually program the radio until I am more comfortable with the trunking function.

Hello tenmt, welcome to RadioReference :)

The ARC 300 + a premium subscription will allow you to cut and paste from the database into the software and transfer to the radio.

Thanks for the response!
I guess my question really centers around programing trunked sites.
I understand about the copy paste sequence but not sure if the information for sub headings etc. are automatically transferred to my computer with the rest of the information or if there is separate input necessary to accomplish this? The manual isn't really too clear to me as to the steps: IE going through and making an ID of the type of trunked system is used right on through the process of exactly what has to be downloaded and then transferred to the radio. I know that there is more to the process than simple copy of the freq.s to the software and then on to the radio. Appreciate any specifics or directions where I can get a context for the procedures.
