The short list of changes is right at the top of the download screen.

Though it's a rather limited update; there's always hidden items that the engineers fix as well and thus is cause for keeping up-to-date...

I just updated both of my units without incident this evening, less than 10 minutes out of my day.

New in version 2.0

Pressing the ATT key during scanning while on a CONV object causes the object
to be stored to EEPROM immediately. This eliminates the possibility of the ATT
status change being lost due to a Priority check.

Changed 154-156MHz range to accommodate Marine channels

Added duplicate checking to conventional channels created via PGM NEW CONV

This update also causes you to lose 796 - 805 mhz. too, if it's the update I'm thinking just came out? Not all the PSR's or Pro-197's suffer from birdies in that range.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8530/5.0.0.973 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

I guess I had not realized that there was a problem with the marine band coverage.

What did I miss, in that regard?

Upgraded my PSR-500 in about 10 minutes including download time. Can we reasonably conclude this may be the last upgrade for this series of scanners?

Does anybody know if this update will work on the pro-197 yet?

Thanks!

So back to krokus's question. What has changed in the marine band? Does this have to do with the general frequency tune or the service search mode?
