• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Have read most, if not all, the threads on accessing the disc tap in the PSR-500. What I haven't seen (probably missed) is whether or not any resistance and/or capacitance should be in series or parallel between the tap point and however you decide to get it out of the radio.

Any clarification would be most appreciated.

I did. As far as I can tell, the only mention of a resistor or capacitor was in reference to the discriminator tap mod for a Pro-106...

PuzzleRiddle...

Thanks for the confirmation. Have been trying to monitor Pell City PD but have not been able to get anything but garbled audio using my AR8200. May try the PSR-500 to see if there's any difference.
