Is there some kind of short cut to the PRS-500 display icons letting you know what they all are, that I could print out.

Download the manual (v1.2), page 23 has them. Just print out that page. Hope this answers your question. (Have I mentioned yet today how much I love this radio?)

Thanks, I just got my PSR-500 yesterday and I guess it's time to read that darn manual, what a great scanner.
