I've downloaded the owners manual from GRE's web-site, but does the scanner come with an owner's manual? The only manual mine came with was the v-folder booklet. I was hoping for one with a binder...

No it does _not_ come with a user manual on paper.

Thanks. I already have it printed. I'll just have to punch holes and put it in a binder.

My one and only complaint with this scanner. It should have came with a printed manual. However them putting it on a cd was a way to cut costs that damn printer ink is expensive. So who can blame them..

The User Manual has changed with each CPU firmware offering. I'm currently viewing the third version of the PDF User Manual. Keeping the manual current with the firmware is a plus for me.

I agree with what Tess said. But I also like to print the manual. I just opened a ticket with GRE to see if there is a way just to print the new/changed pages rather then printing the whole manual again.

Now thats a good idea! They can offer the entire new .pdf manual and a second .pdf manual of pages that have changed. That should save a couple of trees and some ink.

You can do this. Click on file, print previews, select page number (3-3 for one page or 3 - 7 for more pages), then click on print. Yu get just the pages that you need and not the whole manual.

Or right click on the desired page and select Current Page.
