PSR-500 vs. BCD396T

I'm going digital and an stuck between the PSR-500 and the BCD396T. I live near Buckner MO just East of Kansas city and Independence, if anyone has any thoughts please share. I've read a million threads on both and now i'm stuck. I do believe i would in enjoy unidens close call feature so if you have any thoughts thank you

I live in Independence and own and use the uniden 396T radio. It work great and it esy to program and download from this websit with the free program software on the web.
