How do I go about setting the colored LEDS for separate scan lists?! I've searched around but can't find anything? I want to set scanlist 1 one color (Blue)
Scan list 2 (Red) and scan list 3 (purple).
Any help would be grateful. I can do it on my Pro- 106 but it's different on this new PSR-800.

Also as a side note: does anyone else have a problem with a freq. or two moving to another play list without doing anything but just browsing through your play lists?! This is very frustrating!!!

"Jumping"? Based on the scanlist display or something else?

Not sure this is what you mean but: there isn't a direct linkage between the lists on the display and the frequency/talkgroup that becomes active. The display list is only to show which scanlists are active -- the scanning actually runs at a different rate -

Ok. Let me see if I can describe my problem. I have a scanlist SJPD ( Scanlist 1), CHP (Scanlist 2),
and SCCSO (Scanlist 3) If i go into Browse Objects I will find that one of my Freq. from CHP (Scanlist 2)
in my SJPD (scanlist 1) Object file. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.
I have not been able to upload the CD ( the one that came with the Scanner) into my PC as of yet.

Curious - how were your scanlists created? Is there any chance that one or more of these frequencies are shared between SJPD, CHP, and/or SCCSO?

Is this a repeating problem - that is - have you seen it, fixed it, and then it reappears?

None of the Freq. are shared. I created them manually by editing each scanlist by name ( i.e. SJPD/scanlist 1) then Browsed the Library and picked the city, dept., and which freqs. I wanted in each scanlist. So scanlist 1/ SJPD only has the freqs. for SJPD. Scanlist 2 CHP only has the freqs. for CHP. etc...
And to answer you question. Yes I have seen it a few times. It is a reacurring problem.
When I find a freq. That has jumped out of place I deleat it out of that scanlist and save the changes.
(The freq. that jumps to another scanlist seems to be a duplicate. Because the same freq. will still be in it's original scanlist.)
I hope I'm not confusing you. If I am I'm sorry! LOL I've been listening to scanners for a long time. But I'm very computer challenged. I'm not used to having to use a computer to download freq. Into a scanner. I'm used to the "Old School" way of doing things!!

Nope - not confusing... weird things happen sometimes.

I'd definitely recommend loading the software and copying the config from the SD card to the PC - from there, perhaps something will become more obvious (but then again, maybe not). If nothing else, it gives you a better view of the configuration.

Not to introduce more complexity but -- have you played with "scansets"? Just making sure we're talking about "scanlists" and not "scansets"...

I am new to the PSR-800 but I have noticed that when you make a mod or add a new frequency it defaults to the to the default scan list. which may be different than the set or selected scanlist.
I would use the software as another member has suggested.
I had trouble loading the update to the software on my laptop, turned out to be a lack of free computer ram. I killed some of the programs (using task manger) that were using large amounts of ram and was able to get the updates to load.

Thanks for the input guys!! I'm def. Gonna try to load the software into the computer and then hook up the 800 to it to see everything!! : )
Only problem is my PC is down at the moment. I've been posting via my iPhone.
As soon as I can get the PC going I'll be sure to load the software and check things out from there!!
Again thanks!! P.S. Troymail. You maybe right! I might be getting the two mixed up.
( Scan sets & Scan lists ).
