• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

I have been using my PSR800 to interface with PDW for POCSAG tracking via the sound card and earphone jack, however, I'm wondering if the built-in discriminator tap will allow me to use the PC/IF out either through the USB or earphone IF out. Can this be done?

Unless something has changed, GRE's PC/IF only provides access for programming and remote control of the scanner, and P25 CC data (user selectable) for use with PRO96COM software. There is no baseband audio available there.

Thanks, Dave. I played around with it quite a bit and had no luck. Will still with the soundcard.
