I have an uneasy feeling about this one. Better make sure the scanner batteries and spare pack are charged ! .....And it looks like it will be here in SW Missouri after dark, that always makes it interesting....

How 'bout I send my soon-to-be ex-wife down there to Tulsa and let her cuss out the storms when they get firing up? I'l bet she could make them turn around and go the other way!!!!

Tomorrow, looks like it may be very interesting in the Great Lakes region.

Storm Prediction Center said:

WIDESPREAD/POTENTIALLY-SIGNIFICANT SEVERE WEATHER EVENT APPEARS
INCREASINGLY LIKELY ACROSS PORTIONS OF A WIDESPREAD AREA EXTENDING
FROM THE GREAT LAKES REGION SWD TO THE GULF COAST STATES.

STORMS DEVELOPING AHEAD OF THE FRONT WILL RAPIDLY BECOME SEVERE...AS

BE POSSIBLE -- PARTICULARLY NEAR THE COLDER MID-LEVEL TEMPERATURES
ACROSS NRN PORTIONS OF THE RISK AREA...AND VERY STRONG/DAMAGING
WINDS ARE LIKELY GIVEN STRENGTH OF THE AMBIENT FLOW FIELD.
FURTHER...GIVEN MOIST BOUNDARY LAYER AND LOW LCLS ALONG WITH AMPLE
VEERING/SPEED SHEAR IN THE BOUNDARY LAYER...TORNADOES WILL ALSO BE
LIKELY -- INCLUDING THE POTENTIAL THAT A FEW MAY BE

Unless you're traveling to southern Indiana tomorrow you'll be fine... Too much cloudiness up here to worry about losing half the state :>

SPC is insane with that outlook over MI! I'll be down to Purdue Saturday for the game - not sure if there will be anything left if their forecast comes true...

I heard there is a chance of 1/2 inch to 2 inches of rain here, possible hail and high winds, and of course there ia always the chance of tornados wit these, but I doubt it will wipe out half the state.
Gee, I wonder who your rooting for Sat? My uncle worked at MS from the 40's till he died in 97, and a great uncle built the scoreboard at UofM that was replaced a few years back, it lasted 36+ years.... but I am still rooting for the "home team" :)

Had a lot of family go there so I followed footsteps... Plus they give me a media pass to walk the sidelines because I work in a Big 10 town so nothing like watching a game from down low (plus I can give Joe Tiller a few tips if I notice anything :> )

Ah, OK, yeah, media passes are nice, and fairly easy to get if you have the right job. I normally shoot the IU vs Purdue game... that gets pretty wild, but it's fun when I know players and students at both schools. If I want I just call the paper and say I want to go to this or that and they make a call and boom, I'm in, and then there are some places I don't bother going through the paper, I just call myself and I'm in. I get to the RCA Dome so much the security knows me by name :)

Well it raining now, no lightning yet, and the farmer is just clearing the corn field across the street at 8:15pm . And the tornado warning was lifted, however they said that tomorrow diring the day will get really rough with 60mph winds.
