They tried to patch the DPD Air Support talk group to MAC-5 (8-CALL-90 on his radio), but they were having trouble and it was "really broken and scratchy" so Air-1 ended up having to switch over to Blue SE.

I heard the Elbert County SO say, "Air-1, this is Echo Charlie 2 on Blue SE" and Elbert County and Air-1 were in contact from shortly after 11 pm until about 11:30 pm. Unfortunately Air-1 couldn't help out much but they said they would try again in the morning.

It was interesting to listen to, it seems that there is some need for extra training by both the dispatchers and the officers in the field in how to patch the radios. During this and the last chase down here they had to explain how to use the hand held radios on there sub channels. I think it was MAC-11 that was to be used in DC as a primary interagency channel and they had to move to SE channel do from some people or radios not able to be programmed to MAC-11.
