Does anyone know if it is possible to set the scanner clock, or send a GPS location to the scanner via a remote control command through LAN/USB serial control? Or are those functions only supported through the dedicated GPS serial connector?

Asking because it would simplify setup if I could put a GPS in my Raspberry Pi remote head project, and push the time and location data to all connected scanners periodically.

I know the scan droid x36 program supports gps push from the program to the scanner. I can use teamviewer to access it remotely. Not sure if that’s exactly what your asking about.

Check out the DTM protocol command on setting the scanner clock

{edit} Also the LCR Get/Set Location and range in the same document.
