Puxing Px-777

Ok i just got in a PX-777 FM Transciever and it transmits well with what i have programmed but i can not get it to have any volume when recieveing unless i actually press and hold in the monitor/squelch button. I have read the instructions and either i am missing something in the reading or it is just not there. It is showing up that there is full power when its recieveing... but i have to hit the button to hear what is being said... Any ideas??

What are you trying to receive? What level is the squelch programmed at? Did you program it for wide (25kHz), or narrow (12.5kHz)?

Do you have the correct "decode" PL set into the radio on the frequencies? I also agree with the previous poster- "what is your squelch level set at".

I have tried the squelch at the default 5... at the highest 9 and at 0 and it still requires me to press in the manual monitor squelch button to hear what is being transmitted over the frequency. Everything "should" be programmed right. I can transmit on it and recieve on it but can only hear what is being recieved when pressing that squelch button...

Try and set receive for no pl.

I had it programmed at wide.. and i tried it narrow and still the same... As for the PL... Even the ones that i have turned the PL off for on both transmit and recieve i still can not recieve with out holding in the manual monitor squelch button. It makes no sense for me to have hold down the squelch to hear what is being said when it is showing up as being full power... ( not sure how to describe that... it is the meter at the bottom that has APO .. its coming up full... so when i hit the squelch button I can hear what is being said crystal clear.... ) I have had no problems like this with other radios i have had like this .but never have i delt with a Puxing brand radio..... I did not know if there was some special feature i had to turn on or off on this... Or does it sound like i need to try to get ahold of the Puxing company to find out because there may be something wrong w\ the radio?

I am thinking wrong PL decode as well. I have the PX-777 VHF handheld. I give mine an A+++++++++++++++++++++++. I love it

hi there.

i have some problems getting the puxing set correctly. Maybe someone can help me - or give a hint to me what i can try to get it working.

as well as the puxing px 777+ (uhf), i have a bidatong bd6118a and a cobra series PMR here to try.

i found following observations.

1) cobra settings: PMR channel 3 (446,05625MHz); CTCSS:00
puxing settings: 446,05625MHz, C-CDC=off; R-CDC=off; T-CDC-off; S-D (transmit offset) = off; IF Bandwith wide;

i can receive the signal of the cobra on the puxing - but not otherwise.
(also tryed: C-CDC 1-16; no success.)

2) bidatong check; settings: 'as delivered'. frequency 446.050
puxing: frequency 446.050 and the rest of the settings as in 1)

result: both tranceivers show no input signal when the other one is sending.

so far....

now: what do you recommend me to do to get the puxing work with the cobra? any ideas?
