• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

In order NOT to duplicate posts, any Whistler Scanner owners who use EZ SCAN software should look at my post in the below thread

http://forums.radioreference.com/aor-receivers/339003-q-q-db-other-radios-not-ar-dv1-related.html

Although it is in the AOR related section, it is relevant.

For those of you that do not know about the new 'Q' functions, there is a short pdf on my Web-Site
ardv1

Many of those functions will soon be available for selected Whistler Scanners, but I need BETA testers.

The above RR thread goes into more detail

Cheers

WHISTLER 'Q' has arrived

No drum roles or fanfares, lol

Whistler 'Q' is fully operational and available now.

Here is the Web-Site - it is worth a look.

http://whistlerq.wixsite.com/whistlerq

The TRIAL is free. Fully functional but with some limitations.

Some might say it is a major breakthrough in quickly acquiring frequencies from almost source including the Web, no matter their original format, and all without user modification needed.

I could not possibly comment, lol
