Hello,

For a SDS 200

a. Have QK 1 and QK 2 assigned to two different FL's
Works fine.

But, if I try to assign any other QK's, to other FL, I geet a msg.
that that QK Number is already in use.

I cannot find anything that is using it.

Any suggestions as to where to look, or what might be happening ?

b. Again, I have (I think) only two QK's assigned.
They are Number 1 and Number 2.
They show up on the Display next to F0, with the one being monitored blinking.

If I want to go to some FL that does not have a QK assigned, what's the best way ?
Just press the number on the keyboard, then E, or...?

Thanks,
Bob

A Favorite List has to have a QK assigned in order to bring it up via a QK.

What number would you press if the FL does not have a QK assigned? The best thing to do here would be to go back and reorganize your FLs and assign QKs and then SAVE the configuration and go from there.

I use a system that was shown to me where you don't have to worry about a whole sub-menu of QKs that are confusing. Just group your favorite TGs and/or frequencies in their own Favorite List and assign ONE QK consecutively to each list. Then you simply turn your FLs on and off with one number (I alpha-tag the number in the name of the FL) and one key press. Others may scoff at this system, but it works great for me. I might have a few more FLs than normal, but I can navigate very quickly when something big is happening. One number for each FL comprised of what you want to hear. Simple and quick. Some people have to do a 4-5 number key press to get to a specific department or channel. I do one for each of them. The art of complex simplicity. :)
