Will be searching possible locations for a military veteran with PTSD who reportedly killed his wife and left the 6 year old daughter with a suicide note / confession at Quakertown Hospital ED. Tactical team has been activated and is mustering at Quakertown Hospital. Some personnel already deployed there along with local PD for security. Earlier high speed chase by local PD of black Chevy Bronco with VA tags possibly driven by suspect; chase took place during heavy rain and high winds with suspect vehicle driving wrong way on roadway. EMS has already been on scene of reported murder and confirmed deceased subject. Crime scene unit en route, Suspect reportedly armed and dangerous and is from Virginia. Virginia law enforcement notified and sending units to his known address there.

Report intentionally delayed and some specific locations redacted as situation is ongoing.

Here is the BOLO on the suspect:

Cpt. Leonard J Eglin (sp?)
DOB 1974
Indian Male, 5'8" black crew cut
Driving a 2011 black Dodge Ram pickup with possible L front end damage
VA tag JCF3340

Armed with multiple weapons including a 0.223 rifle, wanted for multiple homicides in multiple states, Was stationed at Ft. Lee, VA and has relatives in CA, PA, and VA.

Considered extremely dangerous and has used the 0.223 rifle to injure Bucks Co law enforcement officers. Obviously civilians should NOT approach or confront; if spotted call 911 immediately.

At present suspect vehicle has been located and additional resources are being assembled to investigate further.

Situation ended with suspect (or perpetrator, if you prefer, at this point) found dead from a self-inflicted wound. Some media outlets were intelligent enough not to use the questionable and legally undefined term "person of interest."

What's your point? I was typing on the fly, going with what dispatch said, while operating 3 other radios and sending weather updates to NWS during a hurricane. Dispatchers make mistakes, and so do the rest of us.
