I just moved to queens in woodside and have been monitoring 109th precinct and 111th precinct which are on 2 different frequencies. I hear both 109 and 111 on both frequencies.
Which should I monitor for woodside between 65th st and 72nd?

I don't think the 109th or the 111th . 109 is college point flushing Whitestone. And 111 is bayside and such . I believe you should be looking for 104 108 or 114

It was weird Bc I saw 109 and 111 RMPs here at a call on 51st place. Maybe they just had the RMPs around?

I’m on 69th st. In woodside. I very rarely see cops here. I just moved from Harlem. What a massive difference

Never a dull moment there . Lol . But use Google to look up your correct precinct. Unless things changed it should be one of those 3

It’s listed as the 109th. I used the search function. I moved in here on October 15th and have yet to see any cops other than last night on a traffic stop and taking the driver into custody. But either way. The 111 and 109 are combined and still have 2 separate frequencies where they are somehow mixed. I hear 111 on 109 and visa versa.

Maybe the 109 and 111 are starting to join together to one frequency, When im down in the city sometimes within the next few weeks i will check it out with myself.
I would definitely check the Precinct map also to see what Precinct you live in now.

Just as a side note and question, Is your other Harlem radio feed sill going to be up?

There is 2 reasons the 109 and 111 are on 2 different frequencies.Coverage into buildings as each transmitter is located local to the center of the precinct. 111pct transmitter is on the roof of the Osman House around 212 st and Northern Blvd. The 109 is located somewhere in downtown Flushing, and it been too many years I can't remember exactly. It may even be on Electchester Houses or the HS at Main and the LIE. The cross frequency (BDA) repeater for the Subway station at Main and Roosevelt's antenna was aimed in that direction. The other reason has only happened a few times where the actually split the dispatcher due to call volume. I have always found the 111 transmitter to cover everywhere. I even get it here in Dutchess County.
The mixing for both is done at the console

I need a new radio for the Harlem feed. I lost my apartment from a fire and lost almost everything. I found a new place in woodside, but need a new radio and power supply. I’m more for a radio rather than a scanner for audio quality. But it’s gonna be a while before I can get another base.
I hear a lot of 111 activity, seems to be the Harlem of Queens on the other side of the 7 train.

Omg im so sorry. Just wondering about the feed. Im so sorry you lost a lot and i am happy that you are safe now.

I seem to hear alot of activity there on the 111 to. I will be in the city soon so i will see what i can find. But my guesses is they r merging frequencies or something

Again, was is happening on Radio Zone 33 has nothing to do with "merging frequencies." As radioman2001 suggests in post #13 above, the geographic area covered by Zone 33 (consisting of the 109th and the 111th PCTs) is too large to cover effectively from a single site, therefore two repeaters - one within the confines of each precinct - are simulcast. It is conceptually the same idea as Traffic and Traffic-Staten Island, SOD, and SOD-SI, and Citywide 1, 2, and 3 and their respective SI simulcasts, except on a much smaller scale (attempting to cover two precincts, as opposed to the entire City). One will hear the same thing coming over on 477.0625 as they will hear on 482.6125, just, depending on where one may physically be, one could sound better then the other.
