Question about Fest?

Does anyone know of any GOOD upcoming Ham fest or Festivals that deal with two-way radios, scanners and ham/ Emergency equipment coming up this year in Virginia? I used to go to them all the time in the Midwest, but can't seem to find a decent show or fest anywhere here. Course I have been know to look in the wrong places sometimes!!!!!

Let's start with just finding hamfests - I'll leave it to the locals to tell you which ones are best...

Your location is cute but very unhelpful. Try finding a ham group in your area - they're going to be the best ones to tell you when/where a hamfest will be in your area. We're not in that season yet - another couple of months (unless a few have wintertime fests - we have just such a thing up here...). We have a small list of ham websites in our wiki for Virginia...

There is a "Frostfest" at Richmond International Raceway grounds on Sat. Feb 5th and I think you can google it to find it.

Sorry I thought I had put in I am just outside of Stafford, Va. And thanks for the reply's I am going to do some more searching for these fest, I guess if I don't find a good one out here then I might take a ride this fall back to greyslake, Illinois for their main hamfest.

The DC area has about fifteen decent hamfests throughout the year. One of the largest is at Manassas in early June, and another good one is at Berryville in early August. If you want to drive North across the river Maryland has several, starting with a huge one at Timonium (Baltimore) the end of March (this one is two days long). There are two or three at West Friendship (Howard County Fairgrounds) at various times in the Spring and Summer. You can probably find the complete list on the ARRL.org website. There are a couple at Westminster, too, and all of these I mention are just the larger ones.

Yes, Frostfest is imminent. I missed it last year due to heavy snow so I'm jonesin'.
