Boston Police and Fire are both on UHF, along with the BEMS (Boston Emergency Medical Service). The 800mhz trunk is used by the city (janitors, DPW, parking et al.) and some municipal departments like the housing police. The Police, Fire, and BEMS have talk groups on the system, but they are rarely used.
