I have a few questions for Michigan CB'ers. Before I ask, I would like to politely make a request. Everytime I ask a CB related question half the responses are hams saying "go get a ham ticket" or "ham is so much better because X." I want to know about CB specifically, nothing wrong with ham but that's not why I'm here.
Now, with that out of the way, my questions are:
1.- I know truckers monitor channel 19 while on the highway. Is there a heavily monitored channels while off the highway?
2.- I often pick up strangers on the radio and have brief conversations. I find it hard to strike up a conversation, most users seem not to care. Are there good ways to start up a conversation? Not necessarily about any particular topic, just to chit chat over the radio.
3.- What are some CB hot spots in West Michigan?
4.- While flipping through the channels I keep finding these Jamaican dudes repeating the same message over and over again on channels 5, 6, and sometimes 11. Hard to tell you what they say, but the signal comes in loud and clear and it's the same message in a loop. what's the deal with that?
I know, too many questions. Hopefully someone out there has all the answers.
