In Arc XT Basic I have imported the systems I wanted to listen to. After I imported all the sites and talk groups along with conventional frequencies I ran into a small problem. All the conventional frequencies could be assigned a site quick but except for the two APCO P25 sites. There was no option to assign a quick key only on the APCO P25 sites. I had to manually assign quick keys in the scanner by hand. For some reason Arc XT basic can't see my scanner can assign quick keys to sites. There is an option for start up keys but I don't use that.

Was there a setting in ARC XT Basic I missed?

I figured it out. It does the same thing in ProScan. Selecting the site in the system brings up the quick keys option. My error was selecting the system wide folder expecting the quick keys option. I am learning lol.

In ARC XT, quick keys for trunked systems are assigned at the site level. You can assign a different system quick key to each site in a system and select the site or sites you wish to scan by turning sites on and off using their quick keys. If you wish to have all sites in a system to turn on and off together, assign the same system quick key to all of them. Here is a PDF file which will answer all of your questions about using quick keys. Print it out and save it for your reference.

I pretty much have that figured out per my post ARCXT: - Quick Keys

I upgraded from basic to pro for it's virtual scanner. Much better than ProScan's virtual scanner.
