these are the backlights for the R8500 receiver. (there are four of them in the radio)

Search for "12v grain of wheat" on Ebay they have various brightness also have 6v just reuse the covers on the bulbs you have, also can get pre colored . Lots of people are doing LED conversions.

looks like I got the last 2 of them from Icom parts yesterday. $4 for bulbs. $14 shipping. LMAO

Few years back ordered 100 12v and 100 6v multi color pack for less then $10 each and have not looked back replace them as they go out in all the ham radios and receivers. Next time may go to LEDs. The only thing special about the ICOM parts is the little rubber tinted covers and they slip off. Do need to go through one of IC8500s as all the lamps have finally burned out, but it never gets turned off.
