I bought a working Radio Shack Patrolman CB-60 at a local Goodwill today in my area for $3.00.This is the Radio Shack Patrolman that has the cb channels on itt from 1-40. I also checked it out and it also works on 4 "c" size batteries. This is another find that I found and now is in the Northwest Communications Center. You can find a lot items at Goodwill it you know what you are looking for. Posted Tues 6-4-13 4:51PM

Yep, found a old boat anchor regency 2 meter radio at the goodwill not long ago. Crap, for crap prices = more crap I don't need.

I just saw one of these at a local antiques store for $27. I am tempted to get it just for a plaything. How would one of these compare to a more modern one like the Grundig G6?

Back in the 80's, I had the shortwave version of the CB-60, the "SW-60". It's not a great performing radio on shortwave, but it worked rather well on VHF/UHF and airband. I used it to listen to the police before I owned a scanner. I've been tempted to pick one up on eBay for nostalgia.
