Radio shack Pro-197 external speaker jack

Has anyone dissected the external speaker jack on the back? A mini-jack plugged into the external speaker on my radio broke inside the external speaker jack. I need to get it out and take apart to take it out. Please help. Steve

2 external speakers on pro 197

I just bought a pro 197 and I want to hook up 2 radioshack external speakers to it, they are both identical speakers 8 ohms each, would it hurt to splice the speaker wire together and hook into the external speaker jack and run one speaker beside the scanner and the other one in a different room...

i hope the radio was working this whole time.
the best i can say is to take the antenna off and the 4 screws in the back and then push the guts out the front.
then use a toothpick to push out the broken plug.
someone might have done the real thing.
