radio shack pro9b scanner

Ok i was given a radio shack scanner pro94B and i have ScanCat-lite software and it doesn't seem to be working (the software that is) and i'm soo computer lost it isn't funny so what can I do to fix this problem? i also have the usb scanner programming cable 20-047.

Did you install the driver for the 20-047? The com port selection in ScanCat needs to be selected and be the same as the Com port in your Windows device manager/com ports displayed for the 20-047. The radio will say wired when the 20-047 is plugged in to the PC/IF port on the PRO-94b. Most scanners use the 3" stereo to mono adapter, included with the 20-047.

I know this has been touched on elsewhere but I must say , don't feel left out , I have the ScanCat-Lite also and I'm not trying to be rude to the makers but I've used it on 5 - 6 models it supports and NONE worked right - NONE. I have other software by the same makers that is A-OK but the SC Lite , needs help .........94b - nice scanner .....happy scanning.
