I have been listening on and off to the rail frequencies....usually putting one of my scanners is search mode in that range. But the only frequency that appears to have much activity is 160.920, the AMTRAK road / operations. There are a few other rail freqs but all are very quiet and on rare occasions you can hear brief activity on 161.295, Amtrak Police. Anyone in RI have more active freqs?

Activity varies, unlike listening to the Large Passenger lines and/or your PD/FD/EMS

Some of my friends report a good amount of Freight is occuring in the evenings. [Seaview]
