LV Area Railroad Freqs.

The two most active Union Pacific RR freqs. in the Las Vegas area are 160.2900 and 160.5150. You might want to pick up a copy of the Southern Nevada Radio Scanner Book, third edition, dated July 2005 which contains many more for the UPRR as well as the LV Monorail which can be most interesting to monitor whenever they have running problems which has happened many times since it opened. The Pacific Western RR is also listed in the book. It is 58 pages in length and covers public safety in great detail, US Gov't., commercial & general aviation in major detail, ground transportation (taxis & limos in addition to railroads), motor sports including the LV Speedway operations channels, hotels and casinos, selected businesses and ham radio.
I would not be without a copy as there is nothing like it around here. Others copy from it.
I found my copy at Radio World in Boulder City, Nevada. They do mail out copies and are open six days a week. They can be reached at 702-294-2666.

If you are visiting or going to visit enjoy your stay and the good listening our community offers.

Nevada Southern Railway Freqs?

Hello All,
Planning a trip to Boulder City NV in a couple of weeks and wondering if anybody would have any frequency info for the Nevada Southern Railway Museum?
Thanks in advance!

Sadly, Dave, the owner and operator of Radio World, passed aways last December. His store is now closed, and the contents sold off.
