Just wondering for those people who have been on foxhunts, how frequent should the pings be before it becomes "not worth the effort"?
If I were to build a "fox" that transmitted once a minute ... that in itself would be quite frustrating, but the battery would last much longer. On the other hand if it were transmitted a pulse every second, it'd be quite a bit easier but the battery would be dead in a day. What would be the best tradeoff for battery life and less frustration for the hunters?
Oh let me add one more stipulation: the "fox" will be stationary. Yeah, at 1 minute per pulse for a constantly moving target, that would be near impossible.
