2 questions

i have a ws-1088 and finally have figured out how to program it and set up my groups, the radio is working great, but i am still trying to figure out how to record on a certain channel, if anyone could help me with that, that would be great.

Also looking for a better antenna than the one that comes with it, looking for a mobile antenna and also maybe an external magnet mount antenna to put on the outside of my vehicle.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

In EZ Scan software click on Advance Features tab. Then click on Audio Options tab. Go to recording Options and enable global and search. Anything you have checked to record in the conventional or Trunked Radio Systems along with any search you do will be recorded. As far as the antenna goes, I'm still looking for one I'm happy with.

As stated - enabled the global "Recording" setting and then check the box of the channels / talkgroups you want to record. This can be done either via EZ Scan or on the radio directly.

As for antennas - I use RS 800Mhz antennas (or similar) on all of my radios - alternatives include:

Of course, on a base unit, you'll need a 90 degree BNC adapter....
