SDRTrunk Record unknown alias only?

Hi all,

I'm trying to see if swinging from DSDPlus to SDRTrunk will work for me in the way of discovering new systems. The audio quality on SDRTrunk seems to be much better than DSDPlus in my experience.

I'm wondering if there is a way to record unknown aliases. It seems as though there is an option to record known ones, however what I know and have already input I don't need to re-listen to after running a discovery on a site.

DSDPlus allows me to do this somewhat easily by recording all calls and appending any alias information to the file name, so I can just sort and delete the ones I have already ID'd

Create a new alias entry labeled Unknown. Assign a talkgroup range of 1-65535 to that alias. Enable the Record flag.

In order for this to work, you must also have alias entries for all of the known talkgroups, with the Record flag on those disabled.

The effect of this is that all known/aliased talkgroups will be ignored, while anything not having a matching alias will be considered unknown and will be captured under the Unknown alias and recorded.

PS - This works with the latest release 0.5.0 alpha 6...I don't run older versions like 0.4.0 so I can't vouch for those.

PPS - Make sure you run Trunking Recorder alongside SDRTrunk 0.5.0 with the option to import from SDRTrunk enabled. Trunking Recorder's web interface makes it exponentially easier to listen to audio clips.

I'm trying to use SDRTrunk to discover new DMR systems while I'm at work since it's the only logging software I can get to work on my work Macbook.

What is the wildcard range for DMR? Also is it the same process as setting up a P25 blacklist for DMR? What do if I don't know the LSN yet for a Con+/Cap+ or Tier III system?
