I'm trying to use the recorder in the arc500 software and when I look at the options there is nothing listed in the audio device: (or source for that matter). Am I missing something? Is the software not compatible with windows 7 64 bit?

I'm stuck with this software, so I'm trying to get some kind of value out of it... Any input is appreciated.

Yes, I go in to that and select the Recorder tab, but under where I'm supposed to select the recording device and the source there is nothing listed. I assume that is supposed to have options listed under each that correspond with my scanner and / or the sound recording device in the PC itself... No?

Apparently the software can't find any installed audio device on your PC or you may have it disabled for recording. Mine has 3 in the pulldown.

OK, But do you know for certain that it works with 4 bit windows, or might it just be looking for 32 bid devices/drivers? Thanks for your help.

Your PC does not have any recording device installed/enabled. ARC500 is Win7/64 compatible. Recording requires a cable from the speaker/headphone to the PC line input.
