Trying to get my Line In to be the default recording input, However I can not get XP off Stereo Mix. Tried all I can think of. Anyone else got any ideas? This included drivers and all. Nothing. Hell, Any suggestions are welcome.
Recording properties in XP do nothing.

hmmm... Seems like I did get that to work on one of my past machines. I only use Windows 7 & Ubuntu Linux at home now, but if I remember tomorrow at work I will look at the settings on an XP machine to see if I can remember how to do this.

have you set the "Default" device as Line In?
EDIT: Sorry, saw XP, but read it as "XT" thinking shorthand for scanner model. Please ignore all posts I make prior to a proper influx of caffiene.
