What is the process to remove old feeds that haven't been online in months? Examples:

(Offline for 4 Years!)

These are taking up space on the site and app when people search for a county.

If that’s the case, that’s BS and shouldn’t be allowed.

If feeds are offline for more than 3 weeks (21 days) they are removed. If a feed provider ensures the feed is live at least part time the feed remains. The good part of this is if a feed provider is having issues they have time to get it worked out without having to go through the approval process again, but the negative is for feeder who play games just to ensure they get premium for free.

I think that is what is happening. For example, the mahogany fire was a fire that happened in 2020 and hasn’t burned since then. Yet the feed has been listed for the past four years, the only explanation I can think of is that someone is connecting it randomly to play games.

You can always click on the REPORT A PROBLEM button and let Broadcastify know about the issue, the button below is on all Broadcastify feeds.

Feeds can be classified as "Special Events", and will not get deleted automatically for inactivity. If you see a status of Not Active for a feed, it's a Special Events feed. The Mahogany Fire feed was one of them.

The other feed was active as recently as the 19th, so I'm not sure why you're calling it "months".

I said that, because as long as I’ve been using the site, and I use it almost every day, I’ve never once seen either of those feeds active.

Well, now you have a better understanding, at least of the Special Events type feeds.

Just for clarity, if there is a special event that happens once…Such as a fire, or a mass shooting, or other event, that feed will remain in the directory forever?
